Independent game development studio Flightless has announced the sale of their multiplayer combat racing game Monster Racing League. Monster Racing League has been available on Steam Early Access since March 2023.

Flightless was approached by a third party for a complete sale of the game and after careful consideration have agreed to terms.

“We’re really excited that Monster Racing League will continue to build a strong community with a new provider.” says John O’Reilly, Flightless Founder and Creative Director. 

“For a relatively small indie team, Monster Racing League was an ambitious project and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve managed to create. As many other game development teams have experienced in the last 18 months the ability to secure sufficient publisher support for MRL has been challenging. So we’re very pleased a new team has seen the potential.

The sale of Monster Racing League enables Flightless to continue with a new currently undisclosed project slated for release in 2025.

Monster Racing League will remain free to play on Steam Early Access.
